She did mention that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby when it's younger as it can cause an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib and travel cot crib is designed to give you the best sleep possible. It features an adjustable side rail that can be easily lowered to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or getting out of bed. This is great for mothers who breastfeed! It's also light, making it easy to move around the house during nap time and for travelling.

We love that it's constructed of soft fabrics with mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and ease of use. It comes in charcoal or oak and a variety of melange fabrics that blend with a variety of styles. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secured for safety. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video or customer support contact number should you run into any problems.

Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a crib for your bed that include the ability to attach to your existing bed with a stay-in-place connection system and six levels of height, the CoZee has an additional incline option which can be used to alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. It can also be washed in the machine - a must for all the spills and vomit that accompany a new baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice if you want to keep your child close during their first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension kit, it can be converted into a bed. It isn't able to feed your baby, or magically put them to sleep, it will rock them until they go off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco’s more expensive alternatives. However, it comes with a lot of amazing features. It's designed to be used as a side sleeper or a standalone crib, and is suitable from birth up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel with a brand new mechanism. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure installation under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel that can be moved up and down with one click of a switch. This was an enormous help during night time feeds, as it meant they could reach into and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.

The side panel can be lowered by itself however, it's not advised as it increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. The safety locking system guarantees that the side panel will remain in place when it is attached correctly to the mattress of the parent. This is a wonderful feature to have in place for peace of mind, especially when you're breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be a perfect fit for any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers due to the legs that telescopic. It has a tilting feature for babies with reflux, as well as the ability to rock to soothe them to sleep after eating. It's also extremely spacious and provides excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects despite the lengthy instruction manual. The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you require to begin. It took us around an hour to assemble, and was fairly simple to put together. The only downside to the instructions was that some pictures did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, the procedure was easy and the materials used were of top quality.

In the co-sleeping position, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section as it allows them to comfortably reach out to their baby for feeding and comfort without having to leave their bed. It's also great for those who wish to avoid the stress of getting in and out of a traditional cot or placing their baby down to sleep.

The gliding motion was discovered to be very beneficial in lulling babies to sleep following meals at night or midday. The drop-down side can also be easily accessed to feed or soothe babies during the middle of the night this was a huge benefit for our exhausted test mothers. The Joie Roomie Glide is a elegant and practical crib that doesn't rock nor does it come with extra features like the sound machine.
